Our client is a leading, inspirational and innovative luxury flooring specialist, based in Warwickshire. They have a fantastic opportunity for a Visual Creation Manager to join their passionate team.
The successful candidate will develop all commercial and corporate imagery in the form of photography and CGI for all of the company’s product and branding application for the use across all regions and sectors in line with company strategy.
Lead research into future interior and flooring trends collating evidence from a broad base for use in photography, styling and flooring combination development to maintain the company’s strategy and position as global design leader. This will include global travel to commercial product and trend events.
Monitor competitor activity and their use of imagery in different types of media in order that the company keeps ahead of image and product led interior trends.
Demonstrate the USP’s of the company’s products through imagery, leading the styling and art direction together with the lead agency where appropriate, in line with product launches, customer and market requirements.
Research and planning, mood board creation and image rational, prop sourcing, product ordering, shoot logistics and after shoot storage e.g. props.
Work closely with the Design Team to gain a clear understanding of all product and brand rational and their place in the market, to enable effective demonstration of products translating into imagery.
Work closely with marketing and creative teams to understand the requirements for business focus and apply learnings to the execution of visual developments to make fit for purpose.
Source and recce appropriate locations for photographing sector specific spaces in line with product type and business requirements.
Plan, manage and art direct the on-location photography shoots, sourcing stylists, props, photographers and support where needed.
Work together with the company’s appointed creative agency where appropriate to create inspirational product photography, ensuring that the Designers product story has been translated in the most effective and authentic way.
Direct the creation of computer-generated imagery (CGI) with external suppliers, planning the floor layout, arranging any retouching requirements and project managing the process from the brief though to sign off and distribution.
In response to regional marketing requirements, input and collaborate with the design team when required for events, showrooms, offices and for exhibition stands; ensuring that the company’s position of design leader is represented.
Plan and direct any central and corporate imagery for the business including photography of any staff, interior or building.
Support the UK marketing team to develop residentially focused imagery, in line with the evolving look and feel of the brand. Supporting with trend direction, floor concepts, selecting appropriate location for shoot and art direction.
Manage the central digital visualisation tool, ensuring that the product catalogue is updated when new products are added to the range and that all laying options available.
Ensure that all images are named, tagged, uploaded and stored on the database appropriately, notifying marketing teams of updates and releases.
Coordinate the logistics of product scanning and liaise with the design team to arrange colour quality sign-off.
Ensure that all imagery is relevant for project or purpose e.g. exhibitions, website content, print.
Develop and manage the annual rolling visual development plan.
Prepare budgets for photography development, monitoring and controlling the expenditure within approved limits and in line with the business plan.
Identify new suppliers to enable the company to be at the forefront of new technology with a fresh approach and effective spending and manage on-going relationships.
A Design-related degree.
An understanding of the interiors/design industry.
Knowledge of design software (CS4 would be an advantage).
Keen eye for colour and detail.
A thorough understanding of brand guidelines.
Good communication and management skills.
Excellent coordination and organisational skills
A passport and have a flexible approach to global travel.
A full clean UK driving licence.
A commitment to embrace design as an ethos.
